I was in Minneapolis for the day and had never been to the state of Wisconsin. Wisconsin would be my 48th state to visit so I had to go. My rules are you have to eat at a local place for it to count as a visit. Obviously, airport layovers don’t count. I found Big Guys BBQ and it looked like just the place. I crossed the bridge and easily found it. Walking in I knew it was my kind of place. Clean with the log cabin feel. The bartender Jennifer was super nice and I told her my story. Next thing I know I’m chatting with locals at the bar who were all super nice too. One lady had me try the candy bacon she had bought a pack of. Best bacon ever. Oh and the BBQ food and sauce was tasty. I live in Texas so I know BBQ. This was excellent. Thanks everyone for making my quick trip to your lovely state enjoyable. Cheers.
